Can I leverage special pricing I have with AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud or GCP?

Yes, you can leverage any special pricing or hosting credits you have with AWS, Azure or GCP through our BYOC plans. This plan allows you to host through your own cloud account, so all of your machine, disk, and network costs are paid directly through your cloud provider. Simply create a Cloud Profile to grant ScaleGrid permissions to manage your account, and then our DBaaS platform will allow you to create new database instances and automate your management in your own cloud.

Can I get a discount on more than one database type?

Absolutely! The only caveat is that all the clusters in your account have to be setup under an eligible Switching Providers plan. The only time this wouldn't work is if you wanted to setup MongoDB under our Shared plan, as that is not supported under this deal.

Should I use the Dedicated or BYOC plan?

If you'd like to use AWS or Azure Reserved Instances, or GCP Commited Use Discounts, our BYOC plan would be the best fit for you as all of your cloud costs are paid directly through your cloud provider. The BYOC plan also allows you to leverage Virtual Private Clouds (AWS VPC, GCP VPC, OCI VCN and Azure VNET) to protect your databases from the internet, and Security Groups to lock down access to your clusters.

If these features are not required, our all-inclusive Dedicated plan is a great choice for you as it is extremely easy to setup, and includes both your hosting and DBaaS costs.

How much will ScaleGrid cost?

You can get a 50% discount on both our Dedicated Hosting and BYOC plans through the Switching Providers deal. Our plans are priced based on your data size and replica setup, and you can estimate your costs on our Pricing page by finding the best fit for your cluster needs.

How do I get started with the Switching Providers deal?
