Why should I use ScaleGrid vs. managing my databases internally?

The main reason startups leverage ScaleGrid is so they can keep their development teams focused on product. Can I use my free startup hosting credits?

Yes, you can use your free AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI startup hosting credits through our BYOC plans. This plan allows you to host through your own cloud account, so all of your machine, disk, and network costs are paid directly through your cloud provider. Simply create a Cloud Profile to grant ScaleGrid permissions to manage your account, and then our DBaaS platform will allow you to create new database instances and automate your management in your own cloud.

Can I get a discount on more than one database type?

Absolutely! The only caveat is that all the clusters in your account have to be setup under an eligible Startup Program plan. The only time this wouldn't work is if you wanted to setup MongoDB under our Shared plan, as that is not supported under this deal.

Do I have to be a part of an accelerator or incubator program to apply?

Nope! We partner with accelerators and incubators just so the startups they work with know about the opportunity to save on their database hosting and management costs. Our only eligibility requirements are that you are new to ScaleGrid, and have generated less than $1.5M in revenue and less than $1.5M in funding.

How much will ScaleGrid cost?

You can get a 50% discount on BYOC plans through the Startup Program deal. Our plans are priced based on your data size and replica setup, and you can estimate your costs on our Pricing page by finding the best fit for your cluster needs.
